I am curious as to your source(s) that Hinduism originated subsequent to the birth of Judaism. I am not knowledgeable with regard to religious history myself, but I have come across sources that indicate Hinduism began over 5000 years ago, and I would like to hear your take on this issue.
I agree. Chrisitianity, as Islam brought monotheism, sabbath, messiah and many more basic jewish ideas to the masses. Maimonides etc saw that as a force for good.
I argued that through Christianity, flawed as it may be, it nevertheless is to a certain extent a proof of the Jews as being the light amongst the nations.
I would be very interested to hear what you have to say about this.
Rabbi i was having a discussion some time ago with a friend and he was really “attacking” and accusing Christianity for many many wrongdoings. While i certainly agreed that Christianity has histiorically been used as an excuse for violence against may including Jews, it has helped bring the concept of God and therefore responsibility to such a big part of the world population.
Nice fantasy. No evidence for yur point and all the evidence-Bible included, obviously shows that to be ridiculous.
According to the Bible Unearthed, Jews existed as an ethnicity long before they were a religion. There is no evidence Moses or the Exodus existed, and monotheism amongst Jews started between 610-450 BC. Today’s Judaism was most likely influenced by the Zoroastrians. Either they or the Hindus were the first religion.
